ONLY for pendants or anklets purchased on or before September 25, 2018.
Installation not included.* The insulator is a non-conductive ring, which separates the chain from the clasp. It is there to provide a necessary break in the current from the pendant. Our insulators are made from high quality materials, so they should last for years. If yours breaks, it is important to have it replaced. Wearing an older EarthCalm Pendant or Anklet without an insulator will reduce its effectiveness.
If you're doing the installation: It's simple to install an insulator, but you'll need the right tools. If in doubt, any jeweler could easily install it for you. If you choose to install it yourself, you'll need 2 pairs of needle-nose pliers (one in each hand).
1) Using the pliers, open the jump rings (or "O" rings), which are connected to the old insulator, just wide enough to remove the old insulator, and insert the new one.
2) Pinch the jump rings tightly around the new insulator, until they are completely closed. And that's it!
* If you want EarthCalm to install it: Place an order for an Insulator with Installation here.
Replacing the Chain
Using your own chain and other options: If you are using your own chain, it is important to add an insulator to it. It is also okay to use a strong ribbon, para-cord, leather cord, or any other durable non-conductive material, which would not require the addition of an insulator.
Have EarthCalm replace the chain: Replacement chains require installation by an EarthCalm technician. The new chain will come with an insulator already attached. Order a replacement chain with installation here.
